~ Merry Christmas Keira & Kaely ~

Hi Everyone!

Two of these Build a Bear Merry Christmas cards were made for my dear, little, sweet granddaughters, Keira & Kaely. I totally enjoyed playing with my new Build a Bear Stampin' Up! dies to dress these two little bears, much like my dear dil dresses "the girls".

Tonight I will be spending Christmas Eve with my son, dil, the girls and my dil's family, so I will get to hug and kiss and squeeze the girls to my heart's content!

Merry Christmas...I hope that you all have a safe, happy and very Blessed one!

Love,

~ Linda

~ Fabric Flower Brooch ~

At the Stampin' Up! Convention this past August 2009, Shelli Gardner premiered this wonderful idea of cutting fabric using the Extended pad SU Flower Folds die #115970.

This past week my gracious upline Lorri Heilling had a get-together so that whomever attended could finish up some of their projects and one that I have been wanting to try my hand at was making these lovely brooches. Lorri let me borrow her die and I cut up some pretty material in reds and blacks and sheers and the above creation is what transpired!

Needless to say, now I had to order one of these dies for myself and I look forward to making these in various colors for gifts and possibly to sell.

I am going to wear this today when I meet my dear stamping buddy Anne for lunch in a little while.

Enjoy!

Christmas Gift and Matching Floral Brooch

Hi Everyone!

Isn't this beautiful! I received it at our weSTAMP Christmas Party and it was made by my wonderful upline and mentor, Lorri Heilling! How about the gorgeous brooch? My dear friend Barbara Welch made this for me. They match too!

You will just have to see me in action someday using my new tote and showing off the matching floral brooch...maybe at our next Paradise Valley/North Phoenix Saturday Morning Stamp Cafe on Saturday, January 16th in my home 10:00am 0 12:00 noon.

Merry Christmas and Happy Stamping!

~ New Year ~ New Stampin' Up! Products ~

I am so excited!! Stampin Up has taken the best of both worlds to create these clear mount stamps. They are the same excellent quality rubber stamps they have always had but now the blocks are clear so you can see through them. I just got my first set and wasn't sure how I would like them but I have to tell you that they are FABULOUS! So easy to use and you can see exactly where you are stamping. These will be available to customers on Jan 5th!

Over the past few years, there has been enormous demand from demonstrators and customers alike for a line of repositionable clear-mount rubber stamps. Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting with stamps in the NEW 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and the 2010 Sale-A-Bration Brochure, Stampin' Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount option.

Our new clear-mount rubber stamps are the result of extensive research with the intent to maintain the very best image quality in the stamping industry, while at the same time offering the ease-of-use and storability inherent in repositionable clear-mount rubber stamps.

Clear-Mount Rubber Stamp Features

* Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle.
* Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel.
* Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist.
* Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not.
* Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning.
* Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets.
* Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy.

Hope that you are enjoying your Christmas festivities!

~ Happy Christmas ~

Hi Everyone!

Being that Christmas is only about a month away, in class this morning we all got to create a Santa Claus card using the SU Good Cheer stamp set. The image is colored in with several SU watercolor markers...the edges of the image were torn and brushed with SU bravo burgundy...mounted with dimensionals onto some SU soft suede cardstock and the card base is SU bravo burgundy, adorned with some SU Gold elastic cord which can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog...and little touches of glitter just add that extra zing to Santa...oh and Rudolph...isn't he the cutest reindeer with his bright red nose...all ready to pull Santa's sleigh throughout the night!

Til next time...Happy Stamping! Happy Thanksgiving!

~ Linda

~ Scallop Christmas Ornament ~

Hi Everyone!

This morning in class we all made a cute little Christmas ornament using the SU scallop punch. It was so much fun! There is a little bead on top and a bell at the bottom for decoration...these are so easy to make.

I think that I have used the SU scallop punch more than any other, either because it is one of favorite punches or it is simply very versatile.

Enjoy!

~ Linda

~ Happy Thanksgiving ~

Hi Everyone!

This card was almost exclusively cased from a card that I received in a swap perhaps from my weSTAMP group, but there is no name on the back, so I apologize for not being able to give credit where it is due...so, if someone knows who this person is, please inform me so that I may acknowledge her lovely creation.

We had so much fun this morning in my class which I host in my home once a month. Our little turkey friend's feathers are made using the SU scallop punch.

The sentiment is from the SU Grateful Greetings set which appears in the SU Holiday Mini Catalog.

Hope that you enjoy our little Tom Turkey card!

~ Bon Appetit ~ Happy Birthday ~

Hi Everyone!

This card was created for a dear friend of mine whose birthday is this week. She loves to cook and therefore I used the SU Bon Appetit stamp set. She is also one of my dear husband Ken and myselves' wine buddies...so I topped the plate off with the wine and cheese stamp!

Enjoy!

~ Burgundy Fabric Flower ~

This morning I got pretty busy around here in my Craft Studio.

Yesterday, I went to JoAnn's and browsed the fabric section and found a few very pretty fabrics with which to create some pretty fabric flowers using Stampin' Up!'s flower dies. I rarely take out a needle and thread, but when it comes to making something pretty, especially in the form of a flower, well I suppose that I tend to make exceptions.

My dear stamping friend Barbara inspired me to make these as she gave me a very pretty fall fabric flower to wear this time of year...Thanks Barbara!

Hope that you like this as much as I did making it!

Enjoy!

Happy Stampin'! ...and a little sewing :)

~ weSTAMP Christmas Swap ~

Hi Everyone!

Thought that I would share with you today my swap that I made for last week's weSTAMP group meeting.

This is one of my favorite Christmas stamps sets from Stampin' UP! along with a couple of others. I decided to make this card using the Joy Fold technique. I enjoy making cards that are unique in the way that they open.

Enjoy!

~ Christmas Card Contest ~

Hi Everyone!

This card was created from some leftover cardstock from my friend Marjori's classes. She initiated a contest to see who comes up with the best card...what a great way to "use up" leftovers. I really like this idea.

This is my entry...what do you think?

Stamps: Snow Swirled, Home for Christmas

Ink: purely pomegranate (retired), very vanilla, old olive

Paper: old olive, purely pomegranate dsp (retired), glossy white, brushed gold

Accessories: gold brads, kraft taffeta ribbon, pink bling (non-SU)

Hope that you enjoy this as much as I had making it!

~ Happy Halloween ~

Hi Everyone!

Since I had to cancel my class in October because of laryngitis, I am posting one of the projects that we were going to create. I had to make one for my nephew Thomas for Halloween and am going to make some cute "girlie" cards for my grandaughters, Keira and Kaely sometime in the next few days.

Anyhoot...here is the card that I just about totally cased from my wonderful upline Lorri Heilling. I received this set "Under the Stars" at the SU Convention this past August in SLC as a "bonus". How cool is that?

Stamp sets: Under the Stars, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: chocolate chip, very vanilla

Paper: chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, retired SU (2008) dsp

Accessories: small oval punch, shrunken large scallop square die

Enjoy!

~ weSTAMP Swap Card ~

Hi Everyone!

Fall is finally here. In Phoenix, Arizona that means the temperatures go from being super-hot to hot...hovering around 99 degrees, which is a huge relief from the 100's.

Anyway, I love this time of the year and this post will be up a little earlier than usual because while the swap is going on with my weSTAMP group, I will be on vacation with my hubby and two other couples visiting my home town...New York. We are renting an apartment on the upper west side near Central Park in Manhattan. The weather this time of year in New York is the very best.

The requirements for this month's swap card were to include something from our Holiday Mini Catalog and it did not take me very long to decide to use the lovely Night and Day Specialty Designer Series Paper (Item # 116768 page 11). I like the elegant look of black and white and this is the creation that transpired after some thought.

For the focal point, the Razzle Dazzle stamp, I initially inked my image with my versamark ink pad and then immediately into my SU classic basic black ink pad. Next, I stamped onto SU glossy white paper (Item # 102599 page 159 IBC). Then, I sprinkled some SU Stampin' Emboss Iridescent Ice (Item # 101930 page 188) on top of my image and utilized my heat tool to set the image. The result is a sparkling Razzle Dazzle flower.

Stamps: Razzle Dazzle, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: classic basic black, versamark, craft very vanilla

Paper: very vanilla, basic black, basic gray, DSP Night and Day

Accessories: scallops #2 die, circle cutter, eyelet punch, dimensionals, whisper white organza ribbon

~ Wonderful Friend Tri-Shutter ~

Hi Everyone!

This is the other card that we made in class. I recently was able to pre-order the New My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! and when I looked into the stamps that were part of the software, I was so happy to see one that I did not own, therefore I "stamped" them from the disc, in several colors to match the card stock that we would be using and printed them out and cut them for use as the sentiment on these little pretties!

Every one enjoyed making this and they all went home with one of their very own!

Stamps: My Digital Studio software - My Dear Kind and Wonderful Friend

Paper: Dusty Durango, soft suede, winter white, Razzleberry Lemonade dsp

Accessories: dusty durango ribbon, dimensionals, glue dots

~ Door Prize for weSTAMP ~

Hi There Happy Stampers!

Ok, so last month I won the door prize at our monthly weSTAMP meeting and that meant that I had to create something for August to be given away.

For several months, I have been wanting to make this Oh So Cute! purse which is featured by Gretchen Barron and originally created by Toni Sacrison www.5inkyfingers.blogspot.com, so finally now I had a reason! I thoroughly enjoyed playing with all of the pretty designer papers found in the Stampin' Up! Razzleberry Lemonade paper packet (115675). I collected some small items with the pure intention of making this little project fun, fun, fun! And, believe me it was :)

Hope that you all enjoy this little pretty as much as I enjoyed making it!

~ Linda

~ Home Again ~

Hi Happy Stampers and Paper Crafters!

Above is a photo of my friend Barbara, Pam and myself at the Stampin' Up! Convention 2009 Gathering Place posing for a photo wearing our weSTAMP t-shirts.

This past week has been one of the most memorable in my life. For the first time, I attended a Stampin' Up! Convention. It was AWESOME!!! It was non-stop activities from just before we boarded our plane to Salt Lake City and began swapping...to my flight home where I continued to meet many wonderful women (and a few men) who share the enthusiasm, excitement and LOVE of rubber stamping and paper crafting activities.

I was continually WOWed by everyone and everything. I brought with me just over 100 swaps and received some very unique items in return. There are no two alike.

If you would like more information and/or would like to hear more "in person" sharing of some of the Convention Excitement...

~ Razzleberry Floral Fold ~

Hi Everyone!

This little razzleberry delight will also be keeping me company on my travels to SLC.

It is part of a set created for a swap entitled "Fun Folds" which is hosted by one of my favorite stampers whom will also be attending Convention, Barbara Welch.
I hope that she doesn't see it before time, can some of you keep a secret with me?

Anyway, when I first received my new goodies which included the new designer paper Razzleberry Lemonade, I just had to use it for this swap. It is so bright and cheerful and I enjoyed the creative process for this particular card very much.

The card base is SU pretty in pink and then the next layer is one of the new SU in colors rich razzleberry. The corners on the right side were punched with the SU ticket punch. The new designer papers were sized to finish off the top layers of both the right and left sides of the card. The dsp for the floral element was cut from using the SU Big Shot circle scallops #2. The next layer some crushed curry cut using the die ~ Flower Layers and then softened with some SU ww craft ink and then embossed using the SU polka dot texture plate. The Melon Mambo flower was cut using the SU Sizzix Embosslits Simple FLower and a pearl tops it all off. To the right of the flowere is ww taffeta ribbon tied in a bow.

~ Merry Christmas in July ~

Hi Everyone!

This is also one of my swaps that I will be taking with me to SLC. I signed up for a Christmas Card swap and this is what transpired.

SU real red is the base and always artichoke (my fav SU green) begins the layering with very vanilla and some New designer paper ~ Merry Moments. The center of attention begins with always artichoke and the new SU hostess set Holiday Wishes Merry Christmas sentiment is stamped in SU real red on very vanilla cs. The ribbon, SU real red 5/8" grosgrain is done in a little bow and some real red brads finish it off to the right where the SU ticket corner was incorporated.

Enjoy!

~ Butterflies in Bermuda ~

Hi Everyone!

Lately I have been busy, busy, busy getting ready for Convention. This will be my first time and I am so very excited.

This little pretty will be joining me in my stamping adventures in SLC this coming week!

Many new elements from Stampin' Up! were coordinated to create this card. I used the Textured Impressions folder Elegant Bouquet as the background. The SU Scribbles Swirls was placed at the upper left corner and the butterflies from the SU set Flight of the Butterfly were stamped and then punched out with the new SU Butterfly punch. The sentiment was taken from the new SU set Razzle Dazzle and the new in color polka dotted ribbon Bermuda Bay, accents the bottom right corner and to finish it off I clipped the corner with the SU Curly Label Punch.

Hope that you enjoy this!
